Short bio, few words that define you as an athlete and as a person:
I would say that I am quite persistent with my goals. Also, quite receptive, and always willing to share my knowledge and experiences with anyone who shows interest.
When did you first start your discipline?
I started running in 2011 with the encouragement of a friend. Since then I have not stopped running and looking for new experiences.
What do you most enjoy about your sport?
Frequent contact with nature! Exploring new routes and mountains that you can enjoy in a relatively short time due to the speed we move.
What are your hobbies, profession outside of your sport?
I work in a shop with sports & mountain equipment for various activities (Skiing, Mountaineering skiing, Climbing, Trekking, Mountain running etc). Besides running I like road & mountain biking. In winter, I practice ski touring.
Who or what inspires you?
What inspires me is not something tangible, it is the satisfaction of pushing yourself and pushing your limits. The ability our body has to adapt to the difficulties is something that excites me!
Describe your perfect day:
The perfect day can be anywhere but ideally in the village where I grew up. Waking up in the morning at the foothills of Kaliakouda. 1st workout after breakfast and coffee alone for 2-3 hours on my favorite trails at a free pace. Return have the traditional coffee with friends and sleep after lunch. 2nd training with friends in the afternoon in easy rhythm and small talk. Eat again and walk in the village square with friends and acquaintances …
